Sloeberries

Hey folx! How was your week?

The other day I went outside for a walk and passed all these Blackthorn bushes. I decided to harvest the sloeberries and make something with them. Although they are edible, they are not the best tasting berries when eaten raw. Once it has frozen they get a sweeter tast and you can use them to make jam or even sloe gin! I decided to try out the latter. In about 10 weeks it will be finished! I'm curious what that will taste like.
I also found some chervil in the forest and made lots of soup this week! JU-UM-MY!
The forest is filled with lots of deliciousness and with autumn coming to an end, it's nice to find ways to preserve some of its magic! Have you created something recently out of nature's delights? Feel free to share with us here in the comments!
Have a nice weekend 🍂

[image description 1: Marcel's back is towards us. They are facing the berries in front of them. //2: Marcel's hand reaches out to pick a sloeberry. // 3: Marcel is having a closer look at one of the berries. // 4: Somehow Marcel got tangled into the branches of the berrybush. They must've forgotten about its thorns. Oops! Oh well, now that they're stuck, they're enjoying the sun radiating towards them]
