Snow Crystal

Now that the holidays are upon us, there can be this kind of pressure to feel festive and to celebrate. But just remember these days are like any other day and that the number of people around you doesn't reflect how loved you are. If you don't feel festive, there is no need to fake it. Especially during these pandemic times where it's so hard to connect with people it can be really confronting and feel isolating, but know that you are not alone.

If you feel lonely, reach out to a friend. Don't hold it in. Tell them how you feel. Tell me, tell us.

This year, the Arne & Carlos "sit and knit for a bit" podcast (on youtube) has gotten me in a very cosy mood. It made me feel at peace with staying at home, taking time for knitting and enjoying downtime. In some way I have felt connected, knowing that many people have been knitting and watching their videos these days. Even if you don't knit, I recommend their videos for all kinds of feelgoods!

This snow crystal bauble was the first ever christmasball I knitted! The frost had just arrived when I started setting it up. I love cold and sunny days where you can arrive home after a nice cold walk and warm up under a blanket. The next couple of days I will be sharing some of the other knitted balls I've made. I hope in some it can help brighten up your day!
